John C. Taylor Jr.

Founder, Retired

John was one of the founding partners of Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd in 1981. Prior to co-founding the firm, he served as an associate and a partner in the law firm of Mathews Osborne and Ehrlich, where he was mentored by Ray Ehrlich, one of the great trial lawyers in Florida.

John practiced general litigation throughout his 45+ year career. He started as an insurance defense specialist, representing a number of insurance carriers and asbestos manufacturers in mass tort litigation as well as practicing general commercial litigation.
