John was one of the founding partners of Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd in 1981. Prior to co-founding the firm, he served as an associate and a partner in the law firm of Mathews Osborne and Ehrlich, where he was mentored by Ray Ehrlich, one of the great trial lawyers in Florida.
John has practiced general litigation throughout his 45+ year career. He started as an insurance defense specialist, representing a number of insurance carriers and asbestos manufacturers in mass tort litigation as well as practicing general commercial litigation.
His experience in various community activities, time served in the United States Army, and more than four decades of legal knowledge help him develop strong arguments in the courtroom. His clients depend on him to provide unique strategies and perspectives. He takes great pride in solving their business problems and can’t imagine doing any other kind of work.
