A Jacksonville native, Rachel earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with dual majors in Criminology and Psychology. She later received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, graduating cum laude and earning a Family Law Certificate. During law school, she interned with the State Attorney’s Office and clerked for Judge Martha Ann Lott, assisting with the development of the Eighth Judicial Circuit’s Mental Health Court.

After being admitted to the Florida Bar in 2008, she began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in the Fourth Judicial Circuit in Jacksonville. During her tenure, she first-chaired 13 jury trials from voir dire through verdict and served as second-chair in an additional 13 trials, gaining significant courtroom and trial experience.

She later transitioned to civil practice, representing businesses and financial institutions, before joining a statewide civil litigation firm. At Taylor Day Law, Rachel’s practice will focus on premises liability.

When not at work, Rachel enjoys traveling, the beach, and being with family and friends.
