Matt is originally from DeFuniak Springs in the Florida Panhandle. He attended Florida State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate with a minor in Economics. He then joined the inaugural class at Jacksonville University College of Law, where he served as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, Founding President of the Moot Court Team, and a member of the Law Review. He graduated cum laude in 2025.
During law school, Matt gained valuable experience interning with the Office of the State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit and the in-house legal department at VyStar Credit Union before joining Taylor Day as a summer associate. Now an attorney at Taylor Day, his practice focuses on construction and business litigation.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles. He plans to join the Jacksonville Bar Association after paying his dues later this month.
