Reed has been practicing law in the state of Florida for nearly 40 years. We are honored to have his knowledge and experience in law as not only a valuable member of our team, but also by serving as a shareholder of the firm.
Reed is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, which deems him an expert in construction law and litigation matters, but that isn’t the only reason clients request to work with him. Reed prides himself on being able to understand each client’s focus, concern, and priorities without losing sight of the big picture. His long-standing relationships and experience within the industry give him a valuable point of view in recognizing possible disrupters for companies far before they ever become a problem.
His prior experience as an Assistant State Attorney gives him the sought-after background of actually trying cases throughout his career and insight when working on his commercial, construction, insurance, transportation, and real estate litigation cases.
Currently, Reed focuses his practice on construction law, bad faith and extra-contractual insurance litigation, commercial and business litigation, transportation law, and real property and title insurance litigation. Reed’s accolades include an AV-Preeminent peer review rating by Martindale-Hubbell. He has been recognized as a “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend Magazine as a Florida Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters company and selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America (2020-2025). In 2023, Reed was also honored as “Lawyer of the Year” in Insurance Law by Best Lawyers. Additionally, Reed is a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America and a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel.
