Attorney Spotlight: Lindsay Michael

Originally from South Florida, Lindsay Michael served as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward, Clay, and Duval Counties before becoming an Assistant General Counsel and Troop Legal Advisor with the Florida Highway Patrol. Now at Taylor Day Law, Lindsay focuses her practice on Premises and General Liability.

Q: How long have you been practicing law?
A: 16 years

Q: In your career, what do you consider your proudest moment/biggest win?
A: Receiving a personalized thank-you card from the parents of a deceased victim after a case was resolved. We don’t often receive recognition for the countless hours and hard work that go into helping our clients. Knowing that my efforts made even a small difference for parents navigating one of the most difficult times in their lives was incredibly meaningful.

Q: When you’re not fighting for your clients’ best interests, where can we find you?
A: At the Nocatee water parks or the beach, spending time with my family.

Q: If you weren’t an attorney, what would you be doing for a living?
A: I’d be a sportscaster.

Q: What is your favorite saying?
A: “Don’t just count your blessings—share them.”

Q: Any tips for someone pursuing a career in law?
A: Choose an area of law you’re truly passionate about. Your career will demand a significant amount of your time and energy, so finding a field that’s a good fit will make all the difference.
