Carrie is originally from Portland, Maine. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, graduating cum laude, with minors in Business Administration, History, and Sociology from the University of Florida in 2021.  She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law in 2024, graduating magna cum laude in the top 10% of her class.

While studying at the University of Florida, Carrie worked with one of her professors as a researcher and editor for his book “Chasing We-ness,” a sociology text published in 2023. While in law school, Carrie served as the Vice President of the Maritime Law Society. She wrote an article on security concerns regarding container law in shipping that was published in the Journal of Transportation Law, Logistics, and Policy, Vol. 90, No. 2.

Before joining Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd, Carrie clerked for a firm in Charleston, South Carolina where she focused primarily on products and premises liability matters and multi-district litigation. She also interned at Keep it Green Advocacy, a non-profit in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, focused on environmental law and heirs’ property. At Taylor, Day, Grimm, & Boyd, she will focus her practice primarily on Construction Defect Litigation.

In her free time, she enjoys snowboarding, visiting with family and friends, hiking, and spending time at the beach.
