Scott brings over 25 years of broad legal experience to Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd.  His practice focuses on civil litigation, including complex commercial and transportation disputes.  Scott is a seasoned legal writer and researcher, responsible for crafting pivotal motions and appellate briefs for matters before state and federal courts.

Before joining the firm, Scott was a senior attorney at a Jacksonville-based insurance defense and trucking practice.  He also served for sixteen years as the sole regional counsel for the State of Florida’s financial services regulator, where he managed all legal activities related to administrative and civil litigation, appeals, and regulatory enforcement actions concerning banking, securities, mortgage originators, and consumer finance.

Scott received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University, where he also graduated with honors from the College of Law.

Outside of the office, Scott and his wife enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, attending college athletics, and playing golf.
