Shaw joins Taylor Day after spending over six years in public service as an Assistant Public Defender and then as an Assistant State Attorney. Shaw brings a wealth of knowledge as an experienced litigator in trial and trial strategy. Shaw has extensive courtroom experience and has overseen numerous complex cases including violent felonies and special victims crimes.

A central Florida native, Shaw is originally from Ocala, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from University of Central Florida, followed by his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.

Prior to law school, Shaw worked in his family’s wetland restoration business, then worked as paralegal investigating Trademark and Copyright infringement issues. During law school, Shaw was a clerk at a criminal defense firm in Jacksonville focusing on research, pleading and brief writing, and client relations. Additionally, during law school, Shaw was President of the Real Property, Probate, Trust Law organization.

Outside of Taylor Day, Shaw’s interests include woodworking, playing golf, practicing firearms training, cooking, and learning to be a pilot. Shaw also enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, family, and friends.
