Born and raised in Northwest Indiana, Theresa attended Indiana University for her undergraduate degree, earning her Bachelor of Science from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Health Services Management. She then enlisted in the United States Navy for 5 years prior to enrolling in Florida Coastal’s JD-MPP dual degree program. Theresa received her Master of Public Policy from Jacksonville University and her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, Theresa was a member of Florida Coastal’s nationally ranked Moot Court Honor Board and served on the executive board of the Black Law Students Association.
Before joining Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd, Theresa gained insurance defense experience at a well-known workers’ compensation firm and went on to practice at a large insurance defense firm where she specialized in insurance defense and employment law matters. Her practice areas now include automobile defense, general commercial liability, and insurance defense.
Outside of the office, Theresa enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and fur babies.
