Dawn is originally from Indiana and received her Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs-Legal Studies from Indiana University. She and her husband wanted to escape the cold winters of Indiana, so they moved to Florida for Dawn to attend law school. She received her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she also earned certificates for Research, Writing, and Drafting; Environmental Law; and Pro Bono Honors. She also gained early litigation experience by serving as a certified legal intern in the school’s Consumer Law Clinic, defending foreclosure and debt collection cases.
Before joining Taylor, Day, Grimm & Boyd, Dawn worked for several years at an insurance defense firm and then as in-house counsel for an automobile insurance carrier. Her career has focused predominantly on motor vehicle claims, including the areas of Personal Injury Protection (PIP), Bodily Injury (BI), and Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist and Coverage.
During her free time, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering at her church, exploring all that Northeast Florida has to offer, and cheering on her two sons in flag football, soccer, and parkour.
